Staycation and Bonus Prize Drawing Details and Rules

General Rules and Regulations

• No purchase necessary to win.
• Must be a Hawaii resident and 21 years or older to enter prize drawings.
• The winner will be selected on Dec. 10, 2021.

To enter you must scan the informational posters located throughout the Center or in participating merchants. Entries will not be accepted at the Vaccination Drive by those not receiving vaccinations on November 7 and 28, 2021. You must visit Kapolei Shopping Center to scan the QR code in walkway signs or on posters located in participating tenant locations.
You can only enter the contest once, either via online entry or by mail; multiple entries will be automatically disqualified from the prize drawing.

You also can enter by sending a self-addressed and stamped postcard or letter to: Kapolei Shopping Center, c/o Special Events Hawaii, 45-067 C Kaneohe Bay Drive, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. Include First Name, Last Name, Phone number with Area Code, Address, City, State, Zip and Email. Your USPS mail entry must be received no later than Dec. 1, 2021 to be added to the online entries received and merged for the contest drawing on Dec. 10, 2021.

• Winners are responsible for all related taxes and tax related filing implications.
• There are no exceptions to any rules.
• Employees and immediate family of Kapolei Shopping Center, tenants and sponsors are not eligible to participate.
• No prizes can be redeemed for cash or other prizes.
• Winning prizes are not transferable unless otherwise stated by the prize provider.
• I understand that by participating I am agreeing to the rules.

Staycation Specific Rules

In addition to the following Staycation Specific Rules, I also agree to the General Rules and Regulations outlined above.

The contest is open to all Hawaii residents 21 years of age and older who have received at least one Covid-19 vaccination shot of Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson.

Winner of Staycation prize drawing will receive a gift certificate for a complimentary 2-night stay at Prince Waikiki, including daily waived resort charge with all resort charge amenities included. The gift certificate will be valid from Nov. 7, 2021 through Nov. 7, 2022. Blackout dates include the 2021 holiday period; July 4, 2022; and other specified dates. The gift certificate is based on space availability.

To claim the prize, winner must present a valid CDC Covid-19 vaccination card, issued by a vaccination site in the state of Hawaii, and a valid Hawaii Driver’s License, Hawaii State ID or U.S. Passport to redeem the Staycation. Winner also must sign a release of health information to allow the contest administrator to use his/her protected vaccination records as proof of eligibility. Note, you will only be asked to present the vaccination record card; no photographs or reproductions will be requested or required. The information will be used for no other purpose.

Winners agree to hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, vendors, business supporters and prize providers against any damages or claims of injury, harm in any manner or death in relationship to their participation and winning of any and all prizes herein and will be required to sign a release waiver after accepting the notice of winning and indicating they will take possession of the prize they won, releasing all parties involved in coordinating and executing the contest described herein. They will also be required to state that their CDC Covid-19 Vaccination card is valid and has not been altered or falsified in any manner or may face penalties under the law for falsifying an official Government Document. Any violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

There will be only one winner of the Staycation prize, but in the event the person selected to win the prize does not qualify to win the prize another person will be selected at random in a subsequent drawing until a qualified winner is chosen at the discretion of the rules and contest committee and verified by the contest organizers under the contest rules and guidelines.

Winner Waivers

I confirm that I am 21 years of age or older, and a current resident of Hawaii. I state that I have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus with at least one shot of Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I agree that the contest entity administrators can confirm vaccination prior to officially announcing the winner of the prize. I agree to allow the sponsors and related entities involved in the contest promotion to use my image and likeness and voice as applicable in the form or video, digital, photograph, audio byte with no further compensation to me as a requirement of accepting the prize.

Gift Card Bonus Prize Rules

Gift Card giveaways are open to vaccinated and un-vaccinated individuals.

In addition to these Gift Card Specific Rules, I also agree to the General Rules and Regulations outlined above.

Gift card winners will be chosen randomly. Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email following the drawing. In the event prize winners do not respond within 5 days, new winners will be contacted until a winner is selected for each prize.
